Little Brother

Smiling faces and bright eyes flicker in and out of the room. Each moment tinkles with laughter. The squall of wiggling newness echos through the house. Mom and Dad rock back and forth, welcoming new baby brother.

Lemonade and Mason Jars

Old apple trees cooled the afternoon with their shade, as lights twinkled a trail up their gnarled trunks. They gripped at branches laden with tin cans filled with daisies and baby's breath. Ice buckets chilled jars of lemonade and tea as friends and family celebrated. We danced among them, as evening fell.

J. and W. have their hands full with two little boys. While little D. is trying to nap, K. is wrangling up some cattle. "Rope them bulls!" All a little boy needs is his cowboy boots, his hat, and his Dad.
