I Walk The Line

W. spent the entire photo shoot with the most pouty look I've ever seen. No amount of climbing around barns, petting animals or swinging on horse swings would take his mind off of his cold little fingers. He was not happy with me or his mom. For being the only one wearing a cowboy hat, he sure made me feel like I was an outlaw that day.

Winter Morning

The P. family was awesome to work with! From a laughing toddler to a beautiful teen, the morning was full of smiles. Little M. spent the time singing to us while D. pretended not to care as she posed with a bit of smizing.

A Cold Day in December

This was definitely a cold start to a December day, and M. spent many moments of that morning letting us know that he was not pleased with us. As I look at his big, blue eyes, I figure that it was still worth it braving the cold.

Winter Time

One of my favorite things to do is stroll around my garden. When I plant during the spring time, I try to cram as many types of flowers into it's pie shaped sections as possible. Each bend holds new possibilities. Although, I find that during the winter time I don't make it out back as much. But, when I do, I can still find beauty wherever I look.

Just Like Dad

I was amazed at the many faces of little I. Between the fervent singing, wide smiles and furrowed brow, I. showed his every thought and emotion through those cute little expressions! I have no doubt about where he gets it from.

Smiles & Siblings

This sunny afternoon was full of smiles, sour faces, and even a few tears. These rambunctious kids all had minds of their own. Between running around, dramatic posing, and some bursts of sibling rivalry, there were no dull moments. After packing up my gear and driving home, I spent the evening recharging in my bean bag.

Hallowinn

Hallowinn is a tradition for me and my husband. Each year we get our friends together for food, games, and the Wii. This year's success was our photo shoot that brought out the super heroes in all of us!

Leaves & Lace

Cold temperatures, crawling spiders, and creeping vines were abundant on this crisp Fall morning. L. dove right into the leaves and draped on all of the ivy she could find.

Swings & Slides

K.and S. both had a lot of energy. As they ran around the playground, slid down slides, and flew high on the swings, I was enamored with their differing personalities. One wanted to be in the spotlight giving me lots of poses, while the other preferred to make me (and her parents) work for something other than a pouty look. But in the end, the thing that got me the most was their attention to detail, exclaiming that each section of play equipment was dirty and that they would not sit on it until we wiped it down with a towel!

Mocktail Party

A swallow of Margarita, a splash of Cucumber Lime, and a drizzle of Shirley Temple...oh, and a wedge of Virgin goodness. Bright red lipstick and fake cigarettes were abundant on this beautiful late summer evening. I listen to the lilting voice of Norah and sit back and enjoy the company...

Lesson of Light

One of the best places in town to find great architecture is on campus. The lines and symmetry are inspiring. A glance around the corner or a peek down an aisle; the lines and shapes are waiting to be found.
